A cure? Or shutting down connecting the shaman with the spirit world? Psychiatrists say cannibis triggers schizophrenia, shamans took natural drugs to enter the spirit world. Now this only matters if the spirit world is real or has any affect on the real world. (Re cutting down trees seeming harmless, until link found with ozone). Most schizophrenics have a hard time with the experience and also find it hard to explain (you try explaining 3d principles in 2d!), and with the doctor's obligation to prevent them being a danger to themselves or others, they should be medicated. But those who can handle it and explain it... (remembering that an urban shaman is slightly different from a tribal one)
